Science Trainer: Ken Kuwako

As a Science Trainer, I am dedicated to sharing the wonders of science through various channels—hosting experimental workshops across the country, writing science books, appearing on and supervising TV programs, and teaching in the classroom as an active educator. My day starts at 4:00 AM every morning, diving deep into the world of physics and general science. I have authored over 10 books, including popular science guides like High School Physics Review for Adults (Kodansha), as well as official textbooks and study guides. I am also involved in writing and editing physics textbooks for university students in the medical field and government-authorized high school textbooks. Currently, I am particularly fascinated by static electricity, triboelectricity, and friction. My favorite experimental tools are the Van de Graaff generator and the static charge gun.
About “Every Day is an Experiment”
Through Science Seeds (Kagaku no Netacho), I aim to create a world overflowing with intellectual curiosity by sharing the joy of science and the mysteries of nature. I encourage you to try out our various experiments with your children. Discoveries made through hands-on action lead to the deepest learning. Furthermore, the scientific mindset—forming a hypothesis, testing it, and reflecting on the results—empowers us to solve everyday problems with a positive attitude. Our philosophy, Every Day is an Experiment, reflects my wish to build a society full of people who continue to take on challenges without fear of failure. If there is any way I can contribute to your projects, please feel free to reach out here.
