Cada d\u00eda es un experimento.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Un peque\u00f1o drama de la vida que se despliega bajo el microscopio<\/h3>\n<p>Al escuchar que vamos a observar la aleta caudal de un medaka con un microscopio, es posible que muchos docentes se pregunten: \u00ab\u00bfHasta d\u00f3nde podremos ver?\u00bb o \u00ab\u00bfC\u00f3mo debemos prepararlo?\u00bb. Es el momento en que la frase del libro de texto \u00abla sangre circula por todo el cuerpo\u00bb cobra vida literalmente ante nuestros ojos. Como estamos trabajando con un ser vivo, hay bastantes aspectos que preparar y algunas precauciones importantes. Precisamente por eso, la actividad despierta un gran inter\u00e9s entre los estudiantes y consigue involucrarlos de lleno en la clase. Se introduce una peque\u00f1a cantidad de agua en una bolsa de pl\u00e1stico con cierre y cada grupo recibe dos medaka. Lo que para nosotros es simplemente \u00abuna mano un poco caliente\u00bb supone para un medaka un aumento brusco de temperatura. Incluso unos pocos segundos de contacto pueden representar un gran estr\u00e9s para el animal. Precisamente porque se trata de un experimento con seres vivos, estos peque\u00f1os cuidados pueden marcar una gran diferencia en la calidad de la observaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Una vez introducido el medaka en la bolsa de pl\u00e1stico con cierre, se elimina cuidadosamente el agua hasta dejar al pez en un estado en el que se mueva lo menos posible. Los gl\u00f3bulos rojos humanos tienen un di\u00e1metro de apenas 7\u20138 micr\u00f3metros. Del mismo modo, en los medaka, los gl\u00f3bulos rojos avanzan formando una especie de cadena de cuentas por vasos sangu\u00edneos m\u00e1s finos que un cabello. Es todo un espect\u00e1culo: un mundo microsc\u00f3pico imposible de ver a simple vista llena de repente todo el campo de visi\u00f3n del microscopio a 100 aumentos.<\/p>\n<p>Como referencia, conviene limitar la observaci\u00f3n a unos 10 minutos como m\u00e1ximo. Una observaci\u00f3n demasiado prolongada puede debilitar al medaka, as\u00ed que decidimos dedicar ese tiempo exclusivamente a observar y dejar el dibujo para despu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<h3>Actividad de s\u00edntesis despu\u00e9s de la observaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>Para realizar el dibujo, preparamos v\u00eddeos de la aleta caudal observada con el microscopio y grabados durante la clase. Los estudiantes hicieron sus registros bas\u00e1ndose en esas im\u00e1genes. Es una oportunidad excepcional para experimentar de forma directa ese hecho fundamental que a veces resulta dif\u00edcil de comprender solo mediante dibujos y palabras de un libro de texto: que estamos ante un ser vivo. Adem\u00e1s, permite relacionar lo observado con la funci\u00f3n de bombeo del coraz\u00f3n y el papel de los vasos sangu\u00edneos. Es una actividad f\u00e1cil de utilizar tanto como introducci\u00f3n como para desarrollar posteriormente otros contenidos, y seguramente dejar\u00e1 una fuerte impresi\u00f3n en los estudiantes.
