T\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna koulussamme aloittaneeseen <b>tiede-esitysten kehitt\u00e4misseminaariin<\/b> on kokoontunut 20 luonnontieteist\u00e4 innostunutta oppilasta. T\u00e4ll\u00e4 kertaa vierailimme heid\u00e4n kanssaan Enz\u014d-p\u00e4iv\u00e4kodissa ja pidimme tiede-esityksen kahdelle esikoululaisten ryhm\u00e4lle. T\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n haluan esitell\u00e4 kokeen, joka oli esityksen ehdoton kohokohta.<\/p>\n<h3>Salaisuus on \u201dv\u00e4ri\u00e4 vaihtavassa paperissa\u201d! Valmistus on yksinkertainen, mutta ilmi\u00f6 on t\u00e4ynn\u00e4 tiedett\u00e4<\/h3>\n<p>Paljastetaanpa heti taika: t\u00e4m\u00e4n taikapaperin salaisuus on <b>BTB-liuoksella<\/b> k\u00e4sitelty japanilainen kalligrafiapaperi. Kun kalligrafiassa k\u00e4ytett\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n ohueen paperiin imeytet\u00e4\u00e4n hieman ruokasoodalla em\u00e4ksiseksi s\u00e4\u00e4detty\u00e4 BTB-liuosta ja paperi kuivataan, saadaan sinist\u00e4 paperia. Juuri n\u00e4m\u00e4 kaksi nestett\u00e4 olivat paperin v\u00e4ri\u00e4 muuttavan taian salaisuus.<\/p>\n<h3>Esitys alkaa! Tohtorin ja mandariinin suuri seikkailu<\/h3>\n<p>Esitys alkoi pienell\u00e4 n\u00e4ytelm\u00e4ll\u00e4. Yl\u00e4koulusta saapunut \u201dtohtori\u201d puhutteli lapsia:<\/p>\n<p><b>Tohtori: \u201dT\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n haluan n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 teille jotakin todella hienoa! Sain sen vihdoin eilen valmiiksi! Taikapaperi, \u2019Magic Paper\u2019!\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ensimm\u00e4iseksi lapset saivat piirt\u00e4\u00e4 paperille vahaliiduilla mandariinin. Paperi oli kuitenkin edelleen sininen, joten valmis mandariini n\u00e4ytti aivan <b>homehtuneelta mandariinilta<\/b>. Lapset alkoivatkin huolestuneina ihmetell\u00e4: \u201dHei, n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 ihan homeiselta!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Silloin esiin otettiin ensimm\u00e4inen neste, sitruunahappoliuos. Sininen, homeelta n\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4 mandariini muuttui hetkess\u00e4 mehukkaan n\u00e4k\u00f6iseksi hedelm\u00e4ksi. Kun muutos tapahtui lasten silmien edess\u00e4, koko sali t\u00e4yttyi riemunkiljahduksista. Seuraavaksi esiin otettiin toinen neste, ruokasoodaliuos. Tohtori selitti: \u201dT\u00e4m\u00e4 neste kuuluu samaan porukkaan saippuan kanssa.\u201d Kun keltaiseksi muuttunutta mandariinia sivell\u00e4\u00e4n ruokasoodaliuoksella, v\u00e4ri muuttuu j\u00e4lleen siniseksi. BTB-liuos muuttuu happamassa liuoksessa keltaiseksi ja em\u00e4ksisess\u00e4 liuoksessa siniseksi. Sitruunahappoliuos on hapan ja ruokasoodaliuos em\u00e4ksinen, joten v\u00e4ri vaihteli edestakaisin aina sen mukaan, kumpaa nestett\u00e4 paperille siveltiin.<\/p>\n<p>Viel\u00e4 hauskempi oli PET-pullossa tehty koe, jossa n\u00e4m\u00e4 kaksi nestett\u00e4 yhdistettiin. Kun vihre\u00e4\u00e4n nesteeseen lis\u00e4ttiin sitruunahappoliuosta, se muuttui keltaiseksi. Kun siihen lis\u00e4ttiin viel\u00e4 ruokasoodaliuosta, v\u00e4ri muuttui j\u00e4lleen siniseksi. Lapset seurasivat innostuneina muutosta: \u201dKeltaiseksi!\u201d \u201dSe muuttui siniseksi!\u201d Silmin n\u00e4ht\u00e4v\u00e4 v\u00e4rin vaihtuminen vangitsee lasten uteliaisuuden hetkess\u00e4 \u2013 siin\u00e4 on yksi tieteen suurista vieh\u00e4tyksist\u00e4!<\/p>\n<h3>Happojen ja em\u00e4sten ihmeit\u00e4 l\u00f6ytyy yll\u00e4tt\u00e4v\u00e4n l\u00e4helt\u00e4<\/h3>\n<p>T\u00e4ll\u00e4 kokeella on itse asiassa yhteys my\u00f6s aivan tavallisiin makeisiin. Oppilaat esitteliv\u00e4t lapsille Japanissa hyvin tunnettua makeista \u201dNerunerunerune\u201d. Se on herkku, jonka jauhe ja vesi sekoitetaan kesken\u00e4\u00e4n, jolloin v\u00e4ri ja rakenne muuttuvat. My\u00f6s t\u00e4ss\u00e4 makeisessa hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n hapon vaikutusta \u2013 samaan tapaan kuin sitruunan sis\u00e4lt\u00e4m\u00e4t hapot toimivat.<\/p>\n<p>Kun tohtori sanoi: \u201dHappamat ruoat kuuluvat happojen porukkaan, ja saippua kuuluu em\u00e4sten porukkaan\u201d, lapset kuuntelivat silmin n\u00e4hden kiinnostuneina. Ilmi\u00f6n tarkempi mekanismi opitaan vasta koulussa, mutta jo p\u00e4iv\u00e4koti-i\u00e4ss\u00e4 on t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 kylv\u00e4\u00e4 siemenet ajatuksille \u201dMiten ihmeellist\u00e4!\u201d ja \u201dHaluaisin tiet\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4st\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4!\u201d. Niist\u00e4 voi my\u00f6hemmin kasvaa vahva kiinnostus oppimiseen.<\/p>\n<p>Lopuksi emme paljastaneet kokeen salaisuutta, vaan jaoimme jokaiselle ryhm\u00e4lle BTB-paperia, sitruunahappoliuosta, ruokasoodaliuosta ja pensselit. Lapset saivat itse vapaasti kokeilla ja tehd\u00e4 omia \u201dtaikakuviaan\u201d.
