Cada d\u00eda es un experimento.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00ab\u00a1Profe, \u00bfeste es un papel m\u00e1gico?!\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Una voz de asombro como esta llen\u00f3 por completo el aula de la escuela infantil.<\/p>\n<p>Este a\u00f1o hemos puesto en marcha en la escuela un <b>seminario para desarrollar espect\u00e1culos cient\u00edficos<\/b>, en el que se han reunido 20 estudiantes apasionados por la ciencia. En esta ocasi\u00f3n, fuimos juntos a la Escuela Infantil Sonno y ofrecimos un espect\u00e1culo cient\u00edfico para dos clases de ni\u00f1os de \u00faltimo curso. Hoy quiero presentarles el experimento que se convirti\u00f3 en la gran estrella de la jornada.<\/p>\n<h3>El secreto es un \u00abpapel que cambia de color\u00bb: sencillo de preparar, pero lleno de ciencia<\/h3>\n<p>Si revelamos el secreto, este papel m\u00e1gico no es m\u00e1s que papel japon\u00e9s para caligraf\u00eda impregnado con <b>indicador BTB<\/b>, una sustancia que permite distinguir entre medios \u00e1cidos y alcalinos.<\/p>\n<p>Para prepararlo, basta con impregnar el papel de caligraf\u00eda, el mismo que se utiliza habitualmente para escribir con pincel, con una soluci\u00f3n de BTB ligeramente alcalina gracias a la adici\u00f3n de un poco de bicarbonato de sodio, y dejarlo secar. As\u00ed obtenemos un papel azul. La gran aventura del profesor y la mandarina<\/h3>\n<p>Ese d\u00eda comenzamos con una peque\u00f1a representaci\u00f3n teatral. Un \u00abprofesor\u00bb llegado de la escuela secundaria se dirigi\u00f3 a los ni\u00f1os:<\/p>\n<p><b>Profesor: \u00ab\u00a1Hoy tengo algo que quiero ense\u00f1arles! \u00a1Por fin lo termin\u00e9 ayer! \u00a1Es el papel m\u00e1gico \u201cMagic Paper\u201d!\u00bb<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Primero, pedimos a los ni\u00f1os que dibujaran una \u00abmandarina\u00bb con ceras sobre el papel. Pero como el papel segu\u00eda siendo azul, las mandarinas terminadas parec\u00edan m\u00e1s bien <b>mandarinas cubiertas de moho<\/b>. Los ni\u00f1os empezaron a preocuparse:<\/p>\n<p>\u00abMmm&#8230; parece que tiene moho\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces apareci\u00f3 el primer l\u00edquido: agua con \u00e1cido c\u00edtrico. El profesor explic\u00f3, interpretando su papel de cient\u00edfico, que \u00abcontiene el mismo componente que encontramos en los limones\u00bb. En cuanto se produjo la transformaci\u00f3n, la sala estall\u00f3 en gritos de entusiasmo. Esta vez apareci\u00f3 el segundo l\u00edquido: agua con bicarbonato de sodio.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras el profesor explicaba que era \u00abun l\u00edquido de la misma familia que el jab\u00f3n\u00bb, los ni\u00f1os comenzaron a aplicarlo sobre las mandarinas amarillas. Como el agua con \u00e1cido c\u00edtrico es \u00e1cida y el agua con bicarbonato de sodio es alcalina, el color iba y ven\u00eda cada vez que aplic\u00e1bamos uno u otro l\u00edquido.<\/p>\n<p>Y todav\u00eda hab\u00eda m\u00e1s. Tambi\u00e9n hicimos un experimento con una botella de pl\u00e1stico en la que mezclamos estos dos l\u00edquidos.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando a\u00f1adimos agua con \u00e1cido c\u00edtrico a un l\u00edquido verde, este se volvi\u00f3 amarillo. Y cuando a\u00f1adimos despu\u00e9s agua con bicarbonato de sodio, \u00a1volvi\u00f3 a ponerse azul!<\/p>\n<p>Al ver c\u00f3mo cambiaba el color ante sus propios ojos, los ni\u00f1os gritaban emocionados: \u00ab\u00a1Amarillo!\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a1Se ha vuelto azul!\u00bb. Los cambios de color que podemos observar directamente son una de las grandes maravillas de la ciencia y una forma fant\u00e1stica de despertar la curiosidad de los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<h3>El misterio de los \u00e1cidos y los \u00e1lcalis estaba mucho m\u00e1s cerca de lo que pens\u00e1bamos<\/h3>\n<p>En realidad, este experimento tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 relacionado con algunos dulces que encontramos habitualmente a nuestro alrededor.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los productos que los estudiantes ense\u00f1aron a los ni\u00f1os fue el famoso dulce japon\u00e9s \u00abNerunerunerune\u00bb, un cl\u00e1sico entre las golosinas japonesas. Ese dulce en el que mezclamos polvo y agua y vemos c\u00f3mo cambian el color y la textura tambi\u00e9n utiliza, en realidad, la acci\u00f3n de un \u00ab\u00e1cido\u00bb, al igual que ocurre con los componentes del lim\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando el profesor dijo: \u00abLas cosas \u00e1cidas pertenecen a la familia de los \u201c\u00e1cidos\u201d, y el jab\u00f3n pertenece a la familia de los \u201c\u00e1lcalis\u201d\u00bb, los ni\u00f1os escucharon con enorme inter\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Los detalles de estos fen\u00f3menos se estudian en la escuela primaria, pero sembrar desde la etapa infantil peque\u00f1as semillas de curiosidad, como \u00ab\u00a1Qu\u00e9 extra\u00f1o!\u00bb o \u00ab\u00a1Quiero saber m\u00e1s!\u00bb, puede tener un enorme significado para el aprendizaje que vendr\u00e1 despu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Para terminar, sin revelar completamente el secreto, entregamos a cada grupo un kit compuesto por papel BTB, agua con \u00e1cido c\u00edtrico, agua con bicarbonato de sodio y un pincel.
