Cada d\u00eda es un experimento.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cuando en clase tratamos temas como \u00abla velocidad de las reacciones qu\u00edmicas\u00bb o \u00abla velocidad de transmisi\u00f3n de los impulsos nerviosos\u00bb, es muy habitual que los alumnos se hagan preguntas tan sencillas como: \u00ab\u00bfC\u00f3mo se puede medir la velocidad?\u00bb o \u00ab\u00bfDe verdad hay diferencias?\u00bb. Para responder a estas preguntas, este [experimento para medir el tiempo de reacci\u00f3n] es perfecto.<\/p>\n<p>Y lo mejor de todo es que no hace falta ning\u00fan equipo especial. Solo necesitamos una regla y nuestras propias manos. Se puede realizar completamente con materiales que encontramos en el aula y preparar todo lleva apenas unos instantes. Es una actividad ideal para que los alumnos se diviertan mientras trabajan juntos y, al mismo tiempo, descubran c\u00f3mo son sus propios \u00abreflejos\u00bb y su \u00abtiempo de reacci\u00f3n\u00bb. En cierto modo, es un primer paso hacia el \u00abautoconocimiento cient\u00edfico\u00bb.<br \/>\nEste experimento encaja perfectamente como introducci\u00f3n o actividad complementaria en temas de secundaria como \u00ablos cambios qu\u00edmicos y las propiedades de las sustancias\u00bb o \u00abel funcionamiento de los seres vivos (sistema nervioso y m\u00fasculos)\u00bb. Entonces, \u00a1que la suelte! En cuanto veas que la regla empieza a caer, intenta atraparla lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible. Por ejemplo, supongamos que consigues atraparla cuando ha ca\u00eddo 22 cm. El procedimiento es pr\u00e1cticamente el mismo, pero esta vez la persona que va a atrapar la regla debe cerrar los ojos. La persona que la sostiene dar\u00e1 la se\u00f1al diciendo \u00ab\u00a1Ya!\u00bb. Intenta atraparla justo en el momento en que escuches la voz.<br \/>\nCuando se hace el experimento, muchas veces descubrimos que reaccionamos m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido ante un sonido que ante algo que vemos. Se suele decir que el cerebro tarda aproximadamente 0,1 segundos en reaccionar a un sonido, y esto tambi\u00e9n tiene relaci\u00f3n con las salidas en las competiciones deportivas. En atletismo, si un atleta comienza la carrera menos de 0,1 segundos despu\u00e9s del sonido de la pistola, se considera una \u00absalida falsa\u00bb.<br \/>\n<b>Conclusi\u00f3n<\/b><b><\/b><br \/>\n\u00bfQu\u00e9 te ha parecido este experimento? Basta con medir nuestro tiempo de reacci\u00f3n utilizando los ojos o los o\u00eddos para experimentar de primera mano lo incre\u00edblemente r\u00e1pido que pueden responder nuestro cerebro y nuestro cuerpo. \u00a1An\u00edmate a competir con tus amigos o familiares!
