Me sub\u00ed a Big Thunder Mountain, yo que <b>no soy precisamente fan de las monta\u00f1as rusas<\/b>. <b>Para ser sincero, pas\u00e9 bastante miedo<\/b>. Y no pienso volver a subir\u2026 (aunque para realizar las mediciones tuve que hacerlo nada menos que dos veces).<\/p>\n<p>En realidad, las atracciones de este tipo no dan miedo simplemente porque vayan r\u00e1pido. Lo que las hace aterradoras es que la aceleraci\u00f3n que experimenta nuestro cuerpo cambia constantemente, provocando movimientos y sacudidas que resultan dif\u00edciles de predecir. El sentido del equilibrio humano est\u00e1 especialmente preparado para detectar este tipo de cambios bruscos. El punto m\u00e1s alto de la atracci\u00f3n se encuentra unos 9,5 m por encima de la zona de embarque. Tambi\u00e9n descubr\u00ed que el recorrido dura unos 3 minutos, algo menos que Splash Mountain.<\/p>\n<p>Lo realmente interesante es que la atracci\u00f3n realiza tres veces una especie de \u00abrecarga de energ\u00eda potencial\u00bb y luego la transforma en energ\u00eda cin\u00e9tica para seguir avanzando. Es decir, esta monta\u00f1a rusa no est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para subir una \u00fanica gran cuesta y despu\u00e9s lanzarse en una enorme ca\u00edda. En cambio, va atravesando una sucesi\u00f3n de peque\u00f1as colinas.<br \/>\nLa raz\u00f3n es que el motor de la monta\u00f1a rusa no est\u00e1 funcionando continuamente. La energ\u00eda que se obtiene al principio, cuando la cadena eleva el tren, se va aprovechando durante el recorrido.<\/p>\n<h3>La velocidad m\u00e1xima que descubrimos con los c\u00e1lculos, aunque no aparezca en los datos oficiales<\/h3>\n<p>Si aplicamos el principio de conservaci\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda mec\u00e1nica (\u203b) para calcular la velocidad m\u00e1xima, obtenemos 13,9 m\/s, que equivalen a unos 47,5 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>Probablemente esta informaci\u00f3n no aparezca en los datos oficiales de la atracci\u00f3n, pero \u00a147,5 km\/h es una velocidad considerable! A muchos les puede sorprender descubrir que, en un recorrido aparentemente tan peque\u00f1o, se alcanza una velocidad cercana al l\u00edmite legal de velocidad de los autom\u00f3viles en muchas calles.<br \/>\nTambi\u00e9n podemos observar que las aceleraciones y desaceleraciones son bastante intensas. Esto probablemente se deba a las numerosas peque\u00f1as subidas y bajadas del recorrido.<br \/>\nTodo ello significa que nuestro cuerpo est\u00e1 siendo sacudido constantemente, y aqu\u00ed encontramos una de las grandes diferencias con Splash Mountain. Mientras que Splash Mountain utiliza \u00abuna gran ca\u00edda\u00bb para provocar el miedo, Big Thunder Mountain parece apostar por una estrategia completamente diferente: \u00abuna sucesi\u00f3n de peque\u00f1as sacudidas\u00bb.<br \/>\nLos datos permiten apreciar que, aunque ambas sean monta\u00f1as rusas de alta intensidad, su manera de generar emoci\u00f3n y miedo es completamente distinta. \u00a1Es un descubrimiento bastante interesante!<br \/>\nPor cierto, tambi\u00e9n voy a compartir los datos originales de Splash Mountain y Big Thunder Mountain.
