Cada d\u00eda es un experimento.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cada vez que llega un paquete de una compra por Internet, aparece otra caja de cart\u00f3n m\u00e1s en un rinc\u00f3n de la habitaci\u00f3n. Seguro que alguna vez has intentado atarlas con una cuerda de pl\u00e1stico y has terminado con todo desarm\u00e1ndose porque el nudo no qued\u00f3 bien. Pues resulta que existe una forma de resolver este problema sin utilizar ni un solo trozo de cuerda. Y lo m\u00e1s interesante es que detr\u00e1s de este sencillo truco se esconde un fascinante principio de f\u00edsica relacionado con las cu\u00f1as. Hoy quiero compartir el m\u00e9todo ecol\u00f3gico y pr\u00e1ctico que utilizo desde hace a\u00f1os para agrupar cajas de cart\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3>C\u00f3mo agrupar cajas de cart\u00f3n sin usar Lo importante es que la forma de cu\u00f1a aumenta enormemente la fuerza normal, y como la fuerza de rozamiento es el producto del coeficiente de fricci\u00f3n por la fuerza normal, el rozamiento tambi\u00e9n aumenta. En consecuencia, la fuerza m\u00e1xima de fricci\u00f3n crece (flechas rojas en la figura).<\/p>\n<p>Cada una de estas fuerzas es peque\u00f1a por s\u00ed sola, pero el mismo fen\u00f3meno ocurre simult\u00e1neamente en numerosos puntos de contacto dentro de la abertura en V. Al sumarse todas ellas, el resultado es una fuerza de sujeci\u00f3n muy grande. Cuanto mayor es su peso, mayor es la fuerza con la que presionan el suelo y, por tanto, mayor tambi\u00e9n es el rozamiento entre sus pies y el dohyo. Esa es una de las razones por las que pueden mantenerse firmes durante un combate, adem\u00e1s de su propia fuerza muscular.<\/p>\n<p>Este truco para sujetar cajas de cart\u00f3n aprovecha exactamente esa misma idea: aumentar la fuerza normal para generar m\u00e1s rozamiento. Utilizando paredes inclinadas, transforma una fuerza hacia abajo en una presi\u00f3n lateral. Ese ingenioso mecanismo es precisamente lo que en f\u00edsica se conoce como una cu\u00f1a, una de las m\u00e1quinas simples m\u00e1s antiguas de la humanidad. El mismo principio explica tanto por qu\u00e9 un hacha se queda clavada en un tronco como por qu\u00e9 un tope de puerta permanece inm\u00f3vil entre la puerta y el suelo.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n me interesa mucho la relaci\u00f3n entre el rozamiento y el famoso truco de sacar un mantel sin mover los platos.
