Vaikka sen ulkon\u00e4k\u00f6 voi tuntua pelottavalta, ihmiselle siit\u00e4 ei k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6ss\u00e4 ole vaaraa. Lajilla on myrkky\u00e4 saaliinsa taltuttamiseen, mutta se ei ole ihmisille haitallinen, eik\u00e4 koskettamisesta tarvitse huolestua. P\u00e4invastoin, se on hy\u00f6dyllinen <strong>hy\u00f6nteisten saalistaja<\/strong>, joka sy\u00f6 puutarhoja ja viljelyksi\u00e4 vahingoittavia tuholaisia.
