Cada d\u00eda es un experimento.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hoy vamos a hacer un experimento sobre la expansi\u00f3n adiab\u00e1tica. Es muy f\u00e1cil de hacer en casa, pero lo m\u00e1s interesante es que el mecanismo es exactamente el mismo que da origen a las nubes en el cielo. Solo necesitas materiales muy comunes. \u00a1An\u00edmate a probarlo!<\/p>\n<h3>Materiales y procedimiento<\/h3>\n<p>Solo necesitas tres cosas: <b>una botella PET vac\u00eda, alcohol desinfectante (un solo spray) y <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4tMLc8T\">un spray desodorante para zapatos<\/a> (Amazon)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Primero, roc\u00eda una peque\u00f1a cantidad de alcohol desinfectante dentro de la botella vac\u00eda. Agita ligeramente la botella para llenarla de vapor de alcohol. En ese momento, el etanol ya est\u00e1 flotando en el aire en forma de gas.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s, al apretar la botella, el aire del interior se comprime y <b>su temperatura aumenta ligeramente debido a la presi\u00f3n ejercida desde afuera.<\/b> A esto se le llama \u201ccompresi\u00f3n adiab\u00e1tica\u201d. Como la temperatura sube, aumenta tambi\u00e9n la cantidad de etanol que puede mantenerse en estado gaseoso.<\/p>\n<p>Luego, cuando sueltas la botella, el aire comprimido se expande r\u00e1pidamente. En ese instante, <b>el aire utiliza su propia energ\u00eda para expandirse y realizar trabajo hacia afuera, por lo que su temperatura cae bruscamente.<\/b> Eso es la \u201cexpansi\u00f3n adiab\u00e1tica\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Al bajar la temperatura, el vapor de etanol que estaba disperso en el aire vuelve a convertirse en diminutas gotas l\u00edquidas. Esas microsc\u00f3picas gotitas dispersan la luz y hacen que veamos una nube blanca.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 usar alcohol y no agua?<\/h3>\n<p>Tal vez est\u00e9s pensando: \u201c\u00bfNo podr\u00eda hacerse tambi\u00e9n con agua?\u201d. Buena observaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El cambio de temperatura al apretar una botella con la mano es muy peque\u00f1o. Por eso, es importante usar etanol, ya que incluso con una ligera variaci\u00f3n de temperatura cambia f\u00e1cilmente entre estado l\u00edquido y gaseoso. Con agua, la nube apenas se ve.<\/p>\n<p>El spray desodorante contiene part\u00edculas microsc\u00f3picas que act\u00faan como \u201cn\u00facleos\u201d donde el vapor de etanol puede condensarse. Funcionan como peque\u00f1os puntos de apoyo para formar las gotitas de nube.<\/p>\n<p>Y esto es exactamente lo mismo que ocurre en la atm\u00f3sfera real: las nubes se forman alrededor de part\u00edculas de polvo o diminutos cristales de sal suspendidos en el aire.<\/p>\n<h3>Las nubes del cielo nacen exactamente igual<\/h3>\n<p>En realidad, las nubes del cielo se forman mediante el mismo mecanismo que acabamos de recrear dentro de la botella.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando el aire cercano al suelo se calienta por el Sol, comienza a ascender. A mayor altura, la presi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica es menor, as\u00ed que el aire que sube se expande y se enfr\u00eda. Entonces, el vapor de agua contenido en el aire se condensa en millones de peque\u00f1as gotas de agua\u2026 y eso es lo que vemos como una nube.<\/p>\n<p><b>Tanto las nubes del cielo como las de la botella se forman siguiendo las mismas tres etapas: expansi\u00f3n \u2192 enfriamiento \u2192 condensaci\u00f3n.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Resulta fascinante pensar que dentro de una simple botella del tama\u00f1o de la mano puede reproducirse el mismo fen\u00f3meno que ocurre en el cielo sobre nuestras cabezas.<\/p>\n<h3>Consultas y colaboraciones<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a1La ciencia puede ser mucho m\u00e1s cercana y divertida!
