Para m\u00ed, cada d\u00eda es un nuevo experimento.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cuando escuchamos la frase &#8220;el misterio de la vida&#8221;, solemos imaginar el vasto universo o las profundidades del oc\u00e9ano, \u00bfverdad? Pero lo cierto es que justo bajo nuestros pies, en una diminuta semilla de cebolla, se desarrolla un drama fascinante. Una c\u00e9lula se convierte en dos, dos en cuatro&#8230; Esa carrera de relevos de la vida, conocida como divisi\u00f3n celular, es un momento cuya emoci\u00f3n no se olvida cuando logras captarlo con tus propios ojos.<\/p>\n<p>En las clases de ciencias, siempre busco que los alumnos observen esta divisi\u00f3n directamente al microscopio. Para ello, mi recomendaci\u00f3n estrella es observar la divisi\u00f3n mit\u00f3tica en ra\u00edces de cebolla utilizando safranina clorhidrato (de la marca Narika). Este experimento, que a primera vista parece complicado de preparar, es sorprendentemente sencillo. Al usar safranina clorhidrato, te ahorras el engorroso paso de calentar con \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico, lo que facilita la log\u00edstica y permite obtener im\u00e1genes n\u00edtidas dentro del horario de clase. No hay que inundarlas; si hay demasiada agua, las semillas no podr\u00e1n respirar y se pudrir\u00e1n. El punto justo es cuando el papel est\u00e1 bien h\u00famedo al tacto. En mi caso, al cuarto d\u00eda ya ten\u00eda unas 30 ra\u00edces listas, y al sexto d\u00eda casi todas ten\u00edan la longitud ideal. Normalmente, para ver bien las c\u00e9lulas, se necesita hacer una &#8220;disociaci\u00f3n&#8221; (separar las c\u00e9lulas) y luego la &#8220;tinci\u00f3n&#8221;, pero este producto hace ambas cosas a la vez y a temperatura ambiente. Es una maravilla. Repartimos las semillas te\u00f1idas por grupos y seguimos estos pasos:<\/p>\n<p>Ablandar con agua<br \/>\n\u2022 Ponemos las semillas en un vaso o placa con agua unos 5 minutos.<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00a1Ojo! No las agites. Corta aproximadamente 1 mm del extremo usando el borde de un cubreobjetos o una cuchilla con cuidado.<\/p>\n<p>Cubrir y aplastar (Squash)<br \/>\n\u2022 Pon el cubreobjetos con suavidad y da toquecitos con la parte trasera de un palillo para extender las c\u00e9lulas.<br \/>\n\u2022 Luego, coloca un pa\u00f1uelo encima y presiona con el pulgar firmemente hacia abajo (en vertical).<br \/>\n\u2022 Sabr\u00e1s que lo lograste cuando el l\u00edquido de tinci\u00f3n se extienda y la muestra se vea casi invisible al ojo humano. Por eso, prepara ra\u00edces de sobra para que cada alumno pueda intentar hacer 2 o 3 muestras. Yo suelo preparar al menos el doble de semillas que de alumnos.<\/p>\n<p>Crear tu propio portaobjetos y encontrar los cromosomas con tus propios ojos hace que el aprendizaje sea mucho m\u00e1s profundo que solo leer un libro.
