Vetyperoksidi hajoaa luonnostaan hapeksi ja vedeksi, mink\u00e4 vuoksi sit\u00e4 s\u00e4ilytet\u00e4\u00e4n j\u00e4\u00e4kaapissa. Ilman apuaineita reaktio on kuitenkin \u00e4\u00e4rimm\u00e4isen hidas. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 kokeessa vetyperoksidiin lis\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n kaliumjodidia, jolloin happea vapautuu \u00e4killisesti ja vaahtoa syntyy valtavasti. Kaliumjodidi toimii katalyyttin\u00e4, joka kiihdytt\u00e4\u00e4 vetyperoksidin hajoamisen silm\u00e4nr\u00e4p\u00e4yksess\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4 ei ole vain hienon n\u00e4k\u00f6ist\u00e4, vaan opettaa samalla t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 asioita reaktiol\u00e4mm\u00f6st\u00e4 ja katalyyteist\u00e4.<\/p>\n<h2>N\u00e4in koe tehtiin k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6ss\u00e4<\/h2>\n<p>Kokeilimme kolmea eri variaatiota.<\/p>\n<h3>1. 50 ml vetyperoksidia ja 3 rkl kaliumjodidia liuotettuna 50 ml:aan kuumaa vett\u00e4<\/h3>\n<p>Mittaamme 50 ml vetyperoksidia 500 ml:n erlenmeyerkolviin. Lis\u00e4\u00e4mme sekaan astianpesuainetta ja elintarvikev\u00e4ri\u00e4 tuomaan v\u00e4ri\u00e4.
