Dentro de cada \u00e1tomo hay &#8220;protones&#8221; con carga positiva (+) y &#8220;electrones&#8221; con carga negativa (-). Normalmente, ambas cargas est\u00e1n equilibradas y el objeto es neutro.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, cuando frotamos dos objetos entre s\u00ed (como un globo contra un trozo de tela), los electrones pueden saltar de un lado a otro. Ese exceso o falta de electrones es lo que crea la electricidad est\u00e1tica. De hecho, en la antigua Grecia ya sab\u00edan que al frotar \u00e1mbar este atra\u00eda plumas. La palabra griega para \u00e1mbar es &#8220;\u0113lektron&#8221;, \u00a1y de ah\u00ed viene nuestra palabra electricidad!<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 se abren las l\u00e1minas? \u00a1Sigue el rastro de los electrones invisibles!<\/h2>\n<p>Ahora s\u00ed, vamos a resolver el enigma del electroscopio.<\/p>\n<h4>Caso 1: Cuando acercamos una carga positiva<\/h4>\n<p>Imagina una tela de seda que ha sido frotada contra un globo. Al perder electrones frente al globo, la seda se queda con carga positiva.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando la acercamos al disco met\u00e1lico del electroscopio, los electrones libres (carga negativa) que viven en el metal se emocionan y gritan: &#8220;\u00a1Mira, una carga positiva!&#8221;, corriendo todos hacia el disco superior. Como ya sabes, las cargas iguales se repelen.
