En el fascinante mundo de la ciencia, ocurre un drama asombroso llamado neutralizaci\u00f3n, donde sustancias con personalidades muy fuertes se dan la mano y anulan sus poderes entre s\u00ed. Hoy les traigo un experimento emocionante para descubrir las &#8220;huellas visibles de la qu\u00edmica&#8221;: \u00a1vamos a crear cristales espectaculares! El secreto del \u00e9xito est\u00e1 en la precisi\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>Para que un experimento salga de diez, al igual que en la cocina, la preparaci\u00f3n es fundamental. Como ingredientes, usaremos los dos grandes protagonistas: el \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico (un \u00e1cido cl\u00e1sico) y el hidr\u00f3xido de sodio (una base o \u00e1lcali), ambos en una soluci\u00f3n de 0.1 mol\/L.<\/p>\n<p>Hablemos un segundo de n\u00fameros. Esta concentraci\u00f3n de 0.1 mol\/L es el &#8220;punto justo&#8221; para experimentos escolares: no es una reacci\u00f3n violenta, pero permite que los cambios de color se vean con total claridad.<\/p>\n<p>Para esta sesi\u00f3n, preparamos la mezcla a\u00f1adiendo 4 mL de \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico a 480 mL de agua. Por otro lado, disolvimos 2 g de hidr\u00f3xido de sodio en 500 mL de agua. \u00a1Con esto tenemos material suficiente para que 4 clases enteras (unos 40 grupos) se conviertan en cient\u00edficos!<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a1Empieza el experimento! Pintando el \u00e1cido con su color caracter\u00edstico<\/h3>\n<p>Primero, servimos 10 mL de \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico en un vaso de precipitados de 100 mL usando una pipeta. Un truco de experto: pongan una hoja de papel blanco debajo del vaso; ver\u00e1n que el cambio de color resalta much\u00edsimo m\u00e1s. Luego, a\u00f1adan unas 5 gotas de soluci\u00f3n de azul de bromotimol (BTB). \u00a1Pum! Al instante, el l\u00edquido se vuelve un amarillo vibrante. Es una de las habilidades b\u00e1sicas de cualquier cient\u00edfico, as\u00ed que \u00a1aprovechen para practicar su pulso!<\/p>\n<h3>2. Para una clase, solemos dejar listos tubos con 4 mL de \u00e1cido y 14 mL de hidr\u00f3xido.<\/p>\n<p>Al principio, la soluci\u00f3n amarilla se vuelve azul por un segundo cada vez que cae el hidr\u00f3xido, pero vuelve r\u00e1pido al amarillo. Cuando hayamos a\u00f1adido unos 10 mL, \u00a1finalmente se quedar\u00e1 azul! Eso significa que nos hemos pasado al lado &#8220;alcalino&#8221;. Buscando el &#8220;verde perfecto&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>Si se puso azul, ahora empieza el verdadero reto. Hay que a\u00f1adir el \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico gota a gota, con mucho cuidado, hasta lograr el tono verde, que representa el estado neutro.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u00a1Uy, se volvi\u00f3 amarillo otra vez!&#8221; &#8220;\u00a1Ahora est\u00e1 demasiado azul!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Este vaiv\u00e9n de ajustes es, sinceramente, la parte m\u00e1s emocionante del experimento. Cuando logras ese equilibrio perfecto y aparece un verde precioso, se escuchan gritos de alegr\u00eda en todo el laboratorio. Ponemos una gota de esa soluci\u00f3n en un portaobjetos y dejamos que el agua se evapore. Y entonces&#8230; \u00a1sorpresa! Nada m\u00e1s y nada menos que sal com\u00fan (cloruro de sodio). Es la prueba de que el \u00e1cido y el \u00e1lcali se unieron para transformarse en algo totalmente nuevo.
