Hoy quiero presentarte un experimento fascinante: la reacci\u00f3n de termita. Se trata de un proceso qu\u00edmico sumamente dram\u00e1tico donde, al mezclar polvo de \u00f3xido de hierro y aluminio y encenderlos, se genera un calor y una luz intensos que dan vida a hierro puro. Por otro lado, el \u00f3xido de hierro es simplemente hierro que mantiene sujeto al ox\u00edgeno. Al aplicar una chispa, el aluminio arrebata violentamente el ox\u00edgeno al hierro. Como resultado, el hierro se separa y queda como metal puro, mientras que el aluminio se transforma en \u00f3xido de aluminio. Durante este intercambio, se libera una energ\u00eda descomunal. Cinta de magnesio: Funcionar\u00e1 como nuestra mecha de alta potencia. Vaso de precipitados: Con un poco de agua en el fondo para recibir el hierro fundido. Tr\u00edpode y tri\u00e1ngulo de porcelana: La base para sostener el recipiente de la reacci\u00f3n. Papel peri\u00f3dico: Mojado y extendido sobre la mesa para proteger contra posibles chispas. Encendedor: Para prender la cinta de magnesio. Yunque y martillo: Para comprobar el brillo del hierro obtenido. Im\u00e1n: El objeto m\u00e1gico para demostrar que lo que creamos es realmente hierro. Equipo de protecci\u00f3n: Las gafas de seguridad son obligatorias. Para esta ocasi\u00f3n, usamos 1.6 g de \u00f3xido f\u00e9rrico y 0.6 g de aluminio para una reacci\u00f3n segura y efectiva. El secreto est\u00e1 en usar un mortero y mezclar con paciencia hasta que sea totalmente uniforme. Colocamos el papel sobre el tri\u00e1ngulo en el tr\u00edpode y vertimos la mezcla. Justo debajo, colocamos el vaso con agua listo para recibir el hierro incandescente. Es recomendable realizar las pruebas preliminares al aire libre.<\/p>\n<p>Colocaci\u00f3n de la mecha<\/p>\n<p>Insertamos la cinta de magnesio verticalmente en el centro. Es un sabio consejo de seguridad dejarla un poco larga para tener tiempo de alejarse tras encenderla.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1El momento de la ignici\u00f3n!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1\u00daltima comprobaci\u00f3n de que no hay materiales inflamables cerca! \u00a1Todos con las gafas puestas! Nos alejamos a una distancia segura. Se adhiere con fuerza.
