Mi lema es: cada d\u00eda es un experimento.<\/p>\n<p>Imagina un libro que sobresale m\u00e1s de la mitad de la mesa y, sin embargo, \u00a1no se cae! Parece un truco de magia, pero detr\u00e1s hay un secreto cient\u00edfico fascinante. Hoy vamos a usar las leyes de la f\u00edsica para explorar c\u00f3mo construir una &#8220;torre m\u00e1gica&#8221; apilando libros con un equilibrio incre\u00edble.<\/p>\n<p>La clave de este desaf\u00edo reside en un concepto que se estudia en f\u00edsica: el momento de una fuerza (o torque). Suena complicado, \u00bfverdad? Pero no te preocupes, se entiende de forma intuitiva si piensas en un sube y baja de un parque. Para descifrar este misterio, usaremos dos palabras clave: el centro de gravedad y el eje de rotaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1Primero lo b\u00e1sico! \u00bfQu\u00e9 es el &#8220;centro de gravedad&#8221;?<br \/>\nTodos los objetos tienen un centro de gravedad. Es ese punto m\u00e1gico donde se concentra todo el peso del objeto. Para sentirlo, vamos a probar con solo dos libros. Si llamamos L a la longitud del libro, su centro de gravedad est\u00e1 justo en medio, es decir, a una distancia de 1\/2L desde el borde. El l\u00edmite para que no se caiga es cuando ese centro de gravedad del primer libro queda justo encima del borde del libro de abajo (que act\u00faa como eje de rotaci\u00f3n). Por eso, es estable hasta 1\/2L.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1Sube de nivel! Buscando el equilibrio con el &#8220;momento de una fuerza&#8221;<br \/>\nAhora, vamos a intentarlo con tres libros. \u00a1Aqu\u00ed empieza lo bueno! Es b\u00e1sicamente la capacidad de una fuerza para hacer girar un objeto, y se calcula como: distancia desde el punto de apoyo \u00d7 magnitud de la fuerza (peso). Y aqu\u00ed viene lo m\u00e1s loco de la ciencia: esta serie (1\/2 + 1\/4 + 1\/6&#8230;) es una variante de la &#8220;serie arm\u00f3nica&#8221; en matem\u00e1ticas, y se ha demostrado que su suma tiende al infinito. Esto significa que, en teor\u00eda, si tuvieras infinitos libros, \u00a1podr\u00edas hacer que la torre se extendiera hasta el infinito!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1Es hora de experimentar!<br \/>\nDespu\u00e9s de la teor\u00eda, dan ganas de probarlo, \u00bfverdad? El truco para que salga bien es usar libros o bloques de madera del mismo tama\u00f1o y peso.
