Vastaus on yll\u00e4tt\u00e4en <b>&#8220;ei&#8221;<\/b>. Luonto on kytkeytynyt toisiinsa n\u00e4kym\u00e4tt\u00f6mill\u00e4 s\u00e4ikeill\u00e4, ja jo yhden lajin liiallinen lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyminen tai v\u00e4hentyminen voi muuttaa koko maailman kerralla.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n tutustumme <b>ekosysteemin tasapainoon<\/b> digitaalisessa laboratoriossa, jossa p\u00e4\u00e4set itse s\u00e4\u00e4telem\u00e4\u00e4n luonnon voimia. Peruskoulun biologiasta tutut ravintoketjut ja ravintoverkot her\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t eloon simulaatiossa, joka paljastaa luonnon kulissien takaisen draaman!<\/p>\n<h3>Digitaalinen luonto: El\u00e4m\u00e4n lanka ravintoketjussa<\/h3>\n<p>Luonnon tasapaino on monimutkainen ja kiehtova asia. Emme tietenk\u00e4\u00e4n voi kokeilla oikeassa mets\u00e4ss\u00e4, mit\u00e4 tapahtuisi, jos lis\u00e4isimme sinne yht\u00e4kki\u00e4 sata karhua. Lopulta karhutkin kuolevat <b>ravinnonpuutteeseen<\/b>. Joskus taas asetusten hienos\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6 voi johtaa ihmeelliseen tasapainoon, jossa lajit el\u00e4v\u00e4t rinnakkain pitk\u00e4\u00e4nkin. Juuri t\u00e4m\u00e4 <b>ennustamattomuus<\/b> tekee ekosysteemeist\u00e4 niin haastavia ja mielenkiintoisia.<\/p>\n<h3>Sukupuutto vai rinnakkaiselo? Huomaat, ett\u00e4 vaikka lis\u00e4isit susien m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4, niiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 aaltoilee tietyn rajan sis\u00e4ll\u00e4 ja asettuu lopulta <b>hienovaraiseen tasapainoon<\/b>. H\u00e4mm\u00e4stytt\u00e4vint\u00e4 on luonnon <b>palautumiskyky<\/b>. Vaikka sudet v\u00e4henisiv\u00e4t hetkellisesti, niiden saaliin (kanien) lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyminen auttaa susipopulaatiota nousemaan uudelleen. Luonnossa on voimakas sis\u00e4\u00e4nrakennettu s\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6mekanismi, joka kest\u00e4\u00e4 pient\u00e4 heiluntaa.<\/p>\n<h3>Mit\u00e4 jos huippupedot katoaisivat?<\/h3>\n<p>Haluaisin haastaa teid\u00e4t pohtimaan yht\u00e4 asiaa: mit\u00e4 luulette tapahtuvan, jos sudet tai karhut poistettaisiin kokonaan?<\/p>\n<p>Saattaisit ajatella, ett\u00e4 kani on onnellisempi ilman vihollista. Simulaatio kuitenkin paljastaa toisenlaisen lopputuloksen. Kun kanit lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyv\u00e4t hallitsemattomasti, ne sy\u00f6v\u00e4t kaiken ruohon sukupuuttoon, ja lopulta maailma muuttuu <b>elottomaksi aavikoksi<\/b>.
