La primera vez que me top\u00e9 con este video fue durante una clase en la Universidad de Educaci\u00f3n de Gakugei en Tokio. El impacto fue tan grande que a\u00fan recuerdo la atm\u00f3sfera del aula en aquel momento. Aunque fue producido en 1977, sigue siendo una obra maestra absoluta y un pilar de la educaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica que no ha envejecido ni un \u00e1pice. 689px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>En las clases de ciencias solemos decir que un \u00e1tomo de hidr\u00f3geno mide unos <b>50 pm (pic\u00f3metros)<\/b>, pero seamos sinceros: los n\u00fameros por s\u00ed solos no dicen mucho. Sin embargo, al ver este video, queda claro de forma intuitiva que el mundo donde vivimos se encuentra &#8220;justo en el medio&#8221; entre el vasto macrocosmos y el minucioso microcosmos. Es el material did\u00e1ctico perfecto para visualizar el concepto de escalas y exponentes.<\/p>\n<p>Un peque\u00f1o consejo para los profesores que quieran usarlo en clase: si tienen poco tiempo, empiecen desde el minuto <b>4:46<\/b>. Ah\u00ed comienza el clavado hacia el mundo microsc\u00f3pico, lo cual suele captar la atenci\u00f3n de los alumnos al instante.<\/p>\n<h3>Cambiando nuestra &#8220;regla del tiempo&#8221; con Tamori-san<\/h3>\n<p>Del mismo modo que ampliar nuestra perspectiva espacial cambia el paisaje que vemos, lo mismo ocurre con la escala del tiempo.<\/p>\n<p>El otro d\u00eda, viendo el programa de televisi\u00f3n Buratamori, el presentador Tamori-san coment\u00f3 sobre una erupci\u00f3n ocurrida hace 2000 a\u00f1os: <b>&#8220;Eso fue hace nada, \u00bfno?&#8221;<\/b>. Para la mayor\u00eda de nosotros suena a tiempos remotos, pero si tomamos como referencia los <b>4.600 millones de a\u00f1os<\/b> de historia de la Tierra, 2000 a\u00f1os se sienten realmente como &#8220;hace un segundo&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Tamori-san us\u00f3 una analog\u00eda brillante: <b>&#8220;Si tuvieras 4.600 millones de euros en la mano, 2000 euros ser\u00edan calderilla, \u00bfverdad?&#8221;<\/b>. Esa es la belleza de la perspectiva cient\u00edfica. Al entender unidades de miles o millones de a\u00f1os como &#8220;un breve instante&#8221;, los procesos din\u00e1micos de nuestro planeta se sienten mucho m\u00e1s cercanos.<\/p>\n<p>Estudiar ciencias significa obtener nuevas <b>&#8220;reglas para medir el espacio y el tiempo&#8221;<\/b>.
