Se trata de Byobugaura, en la ciudad de Choshi (prefectura de Chiba). Este lugar es, literalmente, una c\u00e1psula del tiempo gigante donde la memoria de la Tierra ha quedado al descubierto. Con imponentes paredes de 40 a 50 metros de altura que se extienden a lo largo de unos 10 kil\u00f3metros, el impacto visual es algo que no se olvida f\u00e1cilmente.<\/p>\n<p>Hace poco tuve la oportunidad de visitar este destino que ten\u00eda pendiente. Hoy, desde mi perspectiva como profesor de ciencias, quiero contarles la historia de nuestro planeta que se oculta tras este paisaje espectacular.<\/p>\n<h3>Byobugaura: Rumbo al acantilado que desaf\u00eda al oc\u00e9ano<\/h3>\n<p>Mi recorrido comenz\u00f3 cerca del extremo oeste de Byobugaura. Baj\u00e9 a la playa cerca del observatorio del cabo Iioka Gyobu. Eso son los estratos. Te hace darte cuenta de que una vida humana es solo un parpadeo en la inmensa historia de la Tierra.<\/p>\n<h3>Observando el cambio geol\u00f3gico en el Geoparque<\/h3>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s me desplac\u00e9 hacia el este, a la zona del &#8220;Geoparque de Choshi&#8221;. Cerca de la Universidad de Ciencias de Chiba hay un sendero que permite observar los estratos de forma segura y muy cercana.<\/p>\n<p>Byobugaura es un acantilado de erosi\u00f3n marina, esculpido por el golpe constante de las olas. Se dice que antes el mar &#8220;devoraba&#8221; casi un metro de tierra al a\u00f1o. Es decir, se formaron por el propio peso de los sedimentos o deslizamientos cuando el suelo a\u00fan estaba blando. Solo en un lugar con un afloramiento tan vasto como Byobugaura se pueden observar estos fen\u00f3menos con tanta claridad.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a1La Tierra desde el cielo! Disfrutando con Google Earth<\/h3>\n<p>Tras sentir el rugido del mar en el lugar, es muy interesante cambiar de perspectiva usando la tecnolog\u00eda.
