Fysiikan oppikirjoissa on usein sivuja, joissa pallo lent\u00e4\u00e4 kaaressa tai juoksijan liike on paloiteltu sarjakuvamaiseksi otokseksi. Oletteko miettineet, miten ne on oikein otettu? Perinteisesti se vaatii pime\u00e4n huoneen, avoimen sulkimen ja tasaisin v\u00e4liajoin v\u00e4l\u00e4ht\u00e4v\u00e4n valon, joka vangitsee liikkuvan kohteen jokaisen hetken yhdelle kuvalle.<\/p>\n<p>Vaikka tekisi mieli kokeilla, erikoislaitteet ja pimi\u00f6t eiv\u00e4t yleens\u00e4 l\u00f6ydy kotoa. <b>Mutta ajat ovat muuttuneet.<\/b> Nyky\u00e4\u00e4n iPhone-sovellukset, kuten erilaiset &#8220;motion shot&#8221; -ty\u00f6kalut, tekev\u00e4t ty\u00f6n puolestasi. Sovellus tunnistaa liikkuvan kohteen maisemasta automaattisesti ja yhdist\u00e4\u00e4 sen radan yhdeksi kuvaksi. Mutta kun keskityt vain painopisteeseen, huomaat sen piirt\u00e4v\u00e4n kauniin ja puhtaan <b>parabelin<\/b>. Fysiikassa (mekaniikassa) kappaleita k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n usein <b>&#8220;massapistein\u00e4&#8221;<\/b> \u2013 pistein\u00e4, joilla on massaa mutta ei kokoa \u2013 jotta niiden liikett\u00e4 voidaan kuvata selkeill\u00e4 kaavoilla.<\/p>\n<p>Saatat ajatella, ett\u00e4 &#8220;kokoa omaavan esineen liike on liian monimutkaista laskettavaksi!&#8221;, mutta totuus on, ett\u00e4 seuraamalla vain <b>painopistett\u00e4<\/b>, mink\u00e4 tahansa monimutkaisesti py\u00f6riv\u00e4n kohteen reitti voidaan ennustaa t\u00e4ydellisesti yksinkertaisella matemaattisella kaavalla.
