Hoy te voy a ense\u00f1ar un truco infalible para observar desde casa, y sin ayuda de nadie, las famosas ondas estacionarias, uno de los experimentos favoritos en las clases de ciencias.<\/p>\n<h3>El arte de las ondas con un muelle educativo<\/h3>\n<p>\u00bfHas o\u00eddo hablar alguna vez de los muelles especiales para experimentos de ondas? Para nosotros, los profesores de f\u00edsica, son aut\u00e9nticos tesoros. Permiten visualizar la vibraci\u00f3n de una cuerda con tal claridad que parece que estuvi\u00e9ramos viendo una pel\u00edcula en c\u00e1mara lenta. Normalmente, este experimento requiere de dos personas: una que sujete firmemente un extremo y otra que lo agite. En clase siempre cuento con la ayuda de mis alumnos, pero el dilema surge cuando alguien quiere intentarlo en casa y no tiene a nadie que le eche una mano.<\/p>\n<h3>Tu receta cient\u00edfica para jugar a solas en casa<\/h3>\n<p>Es poco com\u00fan tener un muelle de laboratorio en casa, y fijar un extremo uno solo puede ser un dolor de cabeza. No da\u00f1a el material, es muy resistente y te permite experimentar en cualquier lugar. \u00a1Es una soluci\u00f3n tan sencilla y genial como el huevo de Col\u00f3n!<\/p>\n<p>\u2462 Sujeta el otro extremo con la mano y empeza a agitarlo con ritmo.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a1Cambia la velocidad y cambiar\u00e1 la forma! El asombro de las ondas estacionarias<\/h3>\n<p>En cuanto empieces a moverlo, ver\u00e1s aparecer ante tus ojos unas formas bell\u00edsimas. Las ondas estacionarias ocurren cuando la onda que env\u00edas se cruza con la que rebota, creando la ilusi\u00f3n de que la vibraci\u00f3n se queda quieta en su lugar. Si agitas el muelle lentamente, ver\u00e1s una sola curva grande llamada vibraci\u00f3n fundamental. Si aceleras un poco el ritmo, aparecer\u00e1 un punto central que no se mueve (el nodo), creando el segundo arm\u00f3nico. No hace falta un laboratorio sofisticado para sentir las leyes de la naturaleza; basta con mirar lo que tenemos alrededor. Por cierto, un ni\u00f1o me ense\u00f1\u00f3 que este muelle tambi\u00e9n hace movimientos s\u00faper divertidos si lo dejas caer por unas escaleras.
