Sin embargo, lo que les traigo hoy no se lanza al aire, sino que brota y se retuerce desde el suelo. Es algo misterioso, un poco inquietante, pero tan fascinante que no podr\u00e1s dejar de mirarlo. Se trata de una magia cient\u00edfica llamada fuegos artificiales de serpiente o serpientes del fara\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Mi gran pasi\u00f3n es que todos, desde los ni\u00f1os en sus vacaciones hasta las familias que buscan crear recuerdos especiales, disfruten de las reacciones qu\u00edmicas que solemos ver en los libros de texto de una forma mucho m\u00e1s cercana y divertida. Por eso, junto a mis alumnos del club de ciencias, aceptamos el reto de crear la gran serpiente definitiva. Ver c\u00f3mo ingredientes comunes se transforman mediante el poder de la qu\u00edmica es puro entretenimiento. \u00a1No necesitas teor\u00edas complicadas para quedarte boquiabierto con su impacto! Prep\u00e1rate para abrir la puerta de la ciencia y convocar a tu propia gran serpiente negra.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 necesitamos?<\/h3>\n<p>Todo lo que utilizaremos en este experimento es muy f\u00e1cil de conseguir en la cocina o en la farmacia.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Az\u00facar (sacarosa): 20g<\/li>\n<li>Bicarbonato de sodio: 5g<\/li>\n<li>Etanol (alcohol et\u00edlico): 25ml<\/li>\n<li>Arena: (Nosotros usamos tierra de Kanuma, pero cualquier arena com\u00fan funciona bien)<\/li>\n<li>Bandeja: (Cualquier recipiente resistente al calor sirve)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Existen varios tipos de etanol seg\u00fan su concentraci\u00f3n: el absoluto (99.5%), el rectificado (95%) y el sanitario (70-80%). Detr\u00e1s de este fen\u00f3meno ocurren dos reacciones qu\u00edmicas simult\u00e1neas: la carbonizaci\u00f3n y la generaci\u00f3n de gas.<\/p>\n<p>Combusti\u00f3n y carbonizaci\u00f3n del az\u00facar: Al encender el fuego, el etanol se quema primero y el calor resultante empieza a derretir el az\u00facar. Este az\u00facar derretido se descompone por el calor, pierde sus mol\u00e9culas de agua y se transforma en carb\u00f3n (carbono). Esto es lo que forma el cuerpo negro de la serpiente.<\/p>\n<p>Descomposici\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica del bicarbonato: Al mismo tiempo, el bicarbonato de sodio tambi\u00e9n se descompone por el calor. Al intentar escapar, estas burbujas inflan el carb\u00f3n como si fueran peque\u00f1os globos, haciendo que la estructura crezca hacia afuera con esa forma alargada.
