Toinen on &#8220;asiat&#8221; (konkreettiset esineet), eli hiukkasten liike. T\u00e4h\u00e4n kuuluu &#8220;mekaniikan&#8221; ala, jossa k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n esimerkiksi pallon heitt\u00e4mist\u00e4 tai auton ajamista. N\u00e4m\u00e4 ovat konkreettisia, silmin n\u00e4ht\u00e4vi\u00e4 asioita, ja siksi ne ovat oppilaille helppoja ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 ja tuttuja.<\/p>\n<p>Toinen on &#8220;tapahtumat&#8221; eli ilmi\u00f6t. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4osassa on aalto. Kyseess\u00e4 on ilmi\u00f6, jossa itse aine ei liiku, vaan &#8220;energia tai v\u00e4r\u00e4htely siirtyy eteenp\u00e4in&#8221;. T\u00e4m\u00e4 on poikittaistaalto. \u30fbPitkitt\u00e4isaalto (Longitudinal Wave): Kun jousta ty\u00f6nnet\u00e4\u00e4n eteen ja taakse, jousen kierteet muuttuvat tiheiksi tai harvoiksi (harventumiksi) aallon kulkiessa l\u00e4pi. T\u00e4m\u00e4 on pitkitt\u00e4isaalto. Liike muistuttaa kastemadon ry\u00f6mimist\u00e4.<\/p>\n<p>Itse asiassa \u00e4\u00e4ni on juuri t\u00e4m\u00e4 &#8220;pitkitt\u00e4isaalto&#8221; (eli tihentym\u00e4aalto). Pelk\u00e4t oppikirjojen kuvat ja taululle piirretyt kaaviot eiv\u00e4t avaudu kaikille, mutta kun oppilas tuntee jousen liikkeen omissa k\u00e4siss\u00e4\u00e4n, h\u00e4n pystyy intuitiivisesti ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n: &#8220;Aivan, t\u00e4ll\u00e4 tavoin \u00e4\u00e4ni etenee, kun ilma ty\u00f6ntyy eteenp\u00e4in!&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Jousella selvi\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s maanj\u00e4ristysten mekaniikka<\/h3>\n<p>T\u00e4t\u00e4 jousikoetta voi hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 suoraan my\u00f6s yl\u00e4koulun maantieteen tunneilla maanj\u00e4ristyksi\u00e4 opiskellessa.
