La famosa &#8220;Ley de la Inercia&#8221; que aparece en los libros de texto nos dice que, si un objeto no recibe ninguna fuerza, continuar\u00e1 movi\u00e9ndose en l\u00ednea recta a la misma velocidad para siempre. Sin embargo, sentir esto en la vida real es sorprendentemente dif\u00edcil. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9? Porque en la Tierra siempre tenemos a ese molesto intruso llamado &#8220;fuerza de rozamiento&#8221; (o fricci\u00f3n).<\/p>\n<p>Normalmente, en las clases de la escuela se utilizan rieles de aire o rampas especiales, pero los estudiantes suelen sentir que eso es solo &#8220;un evento especial que ocurre dentro del laboratorio&#8221;. Adem\u00e1s, la realidad es que comprar equipos costosos para todos los grupos es dif\u00edcil para el presupuesto escolar. Por eso, lo que quiero recomendarles es un experimento usando &#8220;hielo seco&#8221;. Cuando lo sacas a una habitaci\u00f3n a temperatura ambiente, ocurre un fen\u00f3meno llamado &#8220;sublimaci\u00f3n&#8221;, donde pasa directamente de s\u00f3lido a gas sin convertirse en l\u00edquido. En ese momento, \u00bfqu\u00e9 est\u00e1 ocurriendo entre el hielo seco y la mesa? El gas de di\u00f3xido de carbono que sale con fuerza desde la base del hielo seco crea una fina capa de gas entre este y la mesa.<\/p>\n<p>Es decir, el hielo seco flota ligeramente en el aire gracias al propio gas que expulsa. Con solo empujarlo suavemente con un dedo, se desliza suavemente como si estuviera en gravedad cero. \u00a1Es una vista emocionante! Hoy vamos a utilizar este fen\u00f3meno para aprender sobre el &#8220;Movimiento Rectil\u00edneo Uniforme&#8221; (MRU) mientras jugamos.<\/p>\n<h3>La Receta Cient\u00edfica<\/h3>\n<p>Qu\u00e9 necesitas: Aproximadamente 1 kg de hielo seco, un iPad por grupo.<\/p>\n<p>\u203b Es buena idea investigar si hay alguna f\u00e1brica de hielo cerca. Aunque hoy en d\u00eda es muy c\u00f3modo y parece que tambi\u00e9n se puede comprar en Amazon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u3010Nota para profesores\u3011<\/strong> Aunque guardes 1 kg de hielo seco en el congelador, la sublimaci\u00f3n contin\u00faa y desaparecer\u00e1 en unos 2 d\u00edas. El truco al comprarlo es pedir que te lo entreguen preferiblemente el mismo d\u00eda en que tengas varias clases seguidas.<\/p>\n<h3>M\u00e9todo del experimento: Experimentemos un mundo con fricci\u00f3n cero<\/h3>\n<p>\u2460 Rompe el hielo seco en cubos de unos 5 cm y rep\u00e1rtelo a cada grupo (r\u00f3mpelo golpeando con un martillo, etc.). La forma no tiene que ser perfecta, cualquiera sirve.<\/p>\n<p>\u2461 Intenta deslizarlo sobre una mesa horizontal. <strong>\u3010El Truco Secreto\u3011<\/strong> Si tienes a mano alcohol et\u00edlico, roc\u00edalo en la base del hielo seco para humedecerlo antes de deslizarlo; se mover\u00e1 con mucha m\u00e1s suavidad. El hielo seco est\u00e1 a -79 grados, extremadamente fr\u00edo, y tocarlo con las manos desnudas puede causar congelaci\u00f3n. Si lo haces con ni\u00f1os, siempre debe haber un adulto supervisando.<\/p>\n<p>\u2462 Con los guantes puestos, desliza el hielo seco desde la l\u00ednea de salida. Si entra en el cuadro central (dentro de la cinta roja) son 100 puntos, y si entra en el cuadro exterior son 50 puntos. L\u00e1nzalo 5 veces y compitan por la puntuaci\u00f3n total.<\/p>\n<p>Dependiendo de la fuerza que apliques, se pasar\u00e1 de largo o no llegar\u00e1.
