Pues bien, los bri\u00f3fitos (el grupo al que pertenecen los musgos y las hep\u00e1ticas) son verdaderas reliquias vivientes que nos cuentan la historia de la vida, \u00a1desde que las plantas salieron del mar a la tierra hace millones de a\u00f1os!<\/p>\n<p>Cuando en clase de ciencias hablamos de la reproducci\u00f3n vegetal, estos bri\u00f3fitos se convierten en un objeto de estudio fascinante. Es f\u00e1cil encontrarlas en zonas sombreadas o cerca de fuentes de agua en los centros educativos. \u00bfY por qu\u00e9 esta obsesi\u00f3n por el agua? Sencillo: los bri\u00f3fitos a\u00fan no han desarrollado vasos conductores (los &#8216;tuber\u00edas&#8217; internas para el agua) y tienen que absorberla directamente por toda la superficie de su cuerpo. Adem\u00e1s, como veremos m\u00e1s adelante, \u00a1necesitan agua s\u00ed o s\u00ed para que ocurra la fertilizaci\u00f3n!<\/p>\n<p>Nosotros usamos una peque\u00f1a pala para recolectarlas con mucho cuidado. Es importante tomarlas con sus rizoides (las estructuras parecidas a ra\u00edces) y envolverlas en papel h\u00famedo para que no se sequen en el camino.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a1Una diferencia a simple vista! As\u00ed son la planta macho y la planta hembra.<\/h3>\n<p>Observa de cerca la hep\u00e1tica que has recolectado. Al igual que los humanos, la Marchantia tiene &#8220;machos&#8221; y &#8220;hembras&#8221;. Y lo m\u00e1s sorprendente de todo es que \u00a1sus formas son totalmente distintas!<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Planta Macho (Anteridi\u00f3foro)<\/strong>: En la punta de la l\u00e1mina plana, tienen un soporte plano que parece un platillo con un borde, o incluso una peque\u00f1a hamburguesa. Cuando los estudiantes observan y se imaginan este drama de la naturaleza, \u00a1su inter\u00e9s se dispara!<\/p>\n<h3>Las esporas: La vida de la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n y los &#8216;resortes&#8217; para lanzarlas (El\u00e1teres).<\/h3>\n<p>Bajo la &#8216;sombrilla&#8217; de la planta hembra, hay una parte amarillenta y vellosa que contiene las esporas. Y, entre ellas, si se observa con un buen aumento, es posible distinguir unas estructuras un poco m\u00e1s largas y retorcidas, como peque\u00f1os hilos. \u00a1Esta es la clave! Se trata de los el\u00e1teres (o filamentos el\u00e1sticos). En realidad, funcionan como un resorte que se estira y encoge cuando la humedad cambia. Cuando el ambiente se seca, este &#8220;resorte&#8221; se suelta y expulsa las esporas, lanz\u00e1ndolas lejos.
