Pero, \u00bfsab\u00edas que podemos extraer el ox\u00edgeno que es vital para nuestra vida a partir de este l\u00edquido? Hoy te mostrar\u00e9 un experimento de generaci\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno que se realiza incluso en las clases de ciencias de secundaria, utilizando materiales cotidianos. Aunque a primera vista parezca sencillo, en realidad se necesitan algunos trucos para lograr el \u00e9xito. Desde la preparaci\u00f3n hasta la limpieza, te revelar\u00e9 consejos profesionales que no est\u00e1n en los libros de texto, pero que te ahorrar\u00e1n tiempo y aumentar\u00e1n dr\u00e1sticamente tu tasa de \u00e9xito. \u00a1Adelante, exploremos juntos el mundo de la ciencia!<\/p>\n<p>Materiales que necesitar\u00e1s<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agua oxigenada (soluci\u00f3n de per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno al 3%) 7 mL<\/li>\n<li>Di\u00f3xido de manganeso<\/li>\n<li>Tres tubos de ensayo<\/li>\n<li>F\u00f3sforos<\/li>\n<li>Varilla de incienso (o palillo incandescente)<\/li>\n<li>Recipiente para residuos incandescentes<\/li>\n<li>Trapo h\u00famedo<\/li>\n<li>Agua de cal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 el agua oxigenada produce ox\u00edgeno? El mecanismo del experimento<br \/>\nPara empezar, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 el agua oxigenada produce ox\u00edgeno? El agua oxigenada es una soluci\u00f3n acuosa de una sustancia llamada per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno (H\u2082O\u2082). Este per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno es ligeramente inestable y, si se deja solo, se descompone lentamente en agua (H\u2082O) y ox\u00edgeno (O\u2082).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2H\u2082O\u2082 \u27f6 2H\u2082O + O\u2082<\/p>\n<p>Lo que acelera dr\u00e1sticamente esta reacci\u00f3n es un polvo negro: el di\u00f3xido de manganeso (MnO\u2082). El di\u00f3xido de manganeso act\u00faa como un catalizador, una sustancia que promueve una reacci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica sin alterarse a s\u00ed misma. Es como el liebre que ayuda a un corredor de marat\u00f3n a mantener el ritmo y acelerar.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1Ahorra tiempo y triunfa! Ver\u00e1s un burbujeo intenso y, de repente, la reacci\u00f3n terminar\u00e1 en un instante. En cambio, con un gr\u00e1nulo, la reacci\u00f3n es m\u00e1s suave y prolongada, lo que te permite recolectar ox\u00edgeno con calma. Una cantidad de solo &#8220;uno&#8221; es m\u00e1s que suficiente.<\/p>\n<p>Truco \u2461: \u00a1El agua oxigenada al 3% es suficiente! Si sientes que &#8220;el ox\u00edgeno no est\u00e1 saliendo bien&#8230;&#8221;, prepara un vaso de precipitados grande con agua caliente y sumerge el tubo de ensayo donde se est\u00e1 llevando a cabo la reacci\u00f3n. Es hora de verificar la propiedad del ox\u00edgeno recolectado. Al introducir una varilla de incienso encendida (o un palillo incandescente) dentro del tubo de ensayo&#8230; la brasa que casi se hab\u00eda apagado har\u00e1 un sonido de &#8220;pop&#8221; y se reavivar\u00e1 con una llama intensa. Esto se debe a la propiedad del ox\u00edgeno de &#8220;facilitar la combusti\u00f3n de una sustancia (poder comburente)&#8221;. El hecho de que respiremos ox\u00edgeno tambi\u00e9n es para quemar nutrientes en el cuerpo y obtener energ\u00eda. \u00a1Es un gas que literalmente sostiene la vida!<\/p>\n<p>Truco \u2464: Usa agua de cal para demostrar lo &#8220;que no es&#8221;<br \/>\nA continuaci\u00f3n, coloca agua de cal en el tercer tubo de ensayo y ag\u00edtalo. El agua de cal es un reactivo para detectar el di\u00f3xido de carbono. Al no enturbiarse, est\u00e1s probando que &#8220;el gas generado no es di\u00f3xido de carbono&#8221;. \u00a1Esto tambi\u00e9n es un resultado experimental v\u00e1lido!<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f3mo limpiar de forma segura<br \/>\nDado que el di\u00f3xido de manganeso es un catalizador, permanece inalterado despu\u00e9s del experimento.
