Dise\u00f1os precisos que te hacen notar las &#8220;Diferencias&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:173\">Lo primero que me impresion\u00f3 fue el realismo. Escarabajos rinoceronte, ciervos volantes, mariquitas, saltamontes&#8230; una gran variedad de insectos est\u00e1n elaborados con una precisi\u00f3n incre\u00edble. El n\u00famero de patas, los segmentos del cuerpo, los patrones de las alas, cada caracter\u00edstica est\u00e1 tan bien reproducida que me hizo exclamar: &#8220;\u00a1Esto no tiene nada que envidiarle a un ejemplar real!&#8221;. Es ah\u00ed donde pregunto: &#8220;Oye, \u00bfest\u00e1s seguro de que todos estos son insectos?&#8221; La definici\u00f3n de un insecto es: &#8220;cuerpo dividido en 3 partes (cabeza, t\u00f3rax, abdomen) y 6 patas&#8221;. Si miramos de cerca las figuras&#8230;?<\/p>\n<p>Las ara\u00f1as tienen 2 partes (cefalot\u00f3rax y abdomen) y 8 patas. Los escorpiones tambi\u00e9n tienen 8 patas. Ellos no son insectos, sino &#8220;ar\u00e1cnidos&#8221;. Pertenecen al mismo gran grupo de &#8220;Artr\u00f3podos&#8221;, pero la estructura de sus cuerpos es diferente. Encontrar estas &#8220;diferencias&#8221; es el primer paso de la taxonom\u00eda (clasificaci\u00f3n). Las mezcl\u00e9 todas, las separ\u00e9 en bolsas individuales con cierre y las repart\u00ed a cada grupo. Algunos grupos tuvieron problemas con criaturas marinas como las estrellas de mar o los pulpos. \u00a1Ellos son invertebrados! Este punto se convirti\u00f3 en una oportunidad para darse cuenta de lo fascinante de la clasificaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica, donde se divide no solo por la &#8220;apariencia&#8221; (ej: forma de estrella), sino tambi\u00e9n por un &#8220;criterio invisible&#8221;: la estructura interna del cuerpo (si tiene o no huesos).<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"35:1-36:0\"><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Observaci\u00f3n de la Forma-Funci\u00f3n (&#8220;El caballo de puntillas&#8221;, &#8220;Ojos diferentes&#8221;)<\/strong>: A\u00fan m\u00e1s interesante son las observaciones que aprovecharon la tridimensionalidad de las figuras:\n<ul>\n<li>Un estudiante exclam\u00f3: &#8220;\u00a1El caballo est\u00e1 de puntillas!&#8221;. \u00a1As\u00ed es! El caballo se sostiene solo con la punta de un dedo (el casco). Esto es el resultado de la evoluci\u00f3n para poder correr r\u00e1pido en la pradera y escapar. El alumno se dio cuenta de esta forma funcional observando la figura.<\/li>\n<li>Otro estudiante descubri\u00f3: &#8220;\u00a1El le\u00f3n y la cebra tienen los ojos en lugares diferentes!&#8221;. Los carn\u00edvoros (le\u00f3n), para medir con precisi\u00f3n la distancia de su presa, tienen los ojos colocados &#8220;al frente&#8221; de la cara (visi\u00f3n binocular). Por otro lado, los herb\u00edvoros (cebra), para detectar a los enemigos r\u00e1pidamente, tienen los ojos colocados &#8220;a los lados&#8221; de la cara, lo que les permite ver un amplio campo de visi\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Estos son descubrimientos que son dif\u00edciles de hacer con un libro de texto plano, pero son posibles gracias a los objetos tridimensionales.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"37:1-37:129\">Al tomar las figuras y observarlas desde varios \u00e1ngulos, los estudiantes encontraron sus propios &#8220;criterios de clasificaci\u00f3n&#8221; y progresaron clasificando a trav\u00e9s de la prueba y el error. Sent\u00ed una vez m\u00e1s que este proceso es extremadamente importante para fomentar el pensamiento cient\u00edfico, la capacidad de observaci\u00f3n y el esp\u00edritu de investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"39:1-39:17\">El &#8220;Realismo&#8221; Profundiza el Conocimiento Cient\u00edfico<\/h3>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"41:1-41:56\">Las clases que utilizan estas figuras no solo sirven para memorizar nombres de animales, sino que tambi\u00e9n conducen a un aprendizaje m\u00e1s profundo como el siguiente:<\/p>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"43:1-47:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"43:1-43:84\"><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">La existencia de diversos criterios de clasificaci\u00f3n<\/strong>: Los estudiantes se dan cuenta de que los seres vivos pueden clasificarse no solo por taxonom\u00eda (vertebrados\/invertebrados), sino tambi\u00e9n por h\u00e1bitat, dieta, estructura corporal y muchos otros criterios.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"44:1-44:123\"><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">La relaci\u00f3n entre la Forma (Morfolog\u00eda) y la Funci\u00f3n<\/strong>: Al observar los detalles de las figuras, los alumnos descubren que la estructura corporal (morfolog\u00eda) de un organismo est\u00e1 \u00edntimamente relacionada con su estilo de vida y estrategia de supervivencia (funci\u00f3n). Preguntas como &#8220;\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 el caballo se para en una u\u00f1a?&#8221; o &#8220;\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 el le\u00f3n tiene los ojos hacia adelante?&#8221; conducen a la historia de la evoluci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"45:1-45:77\"><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Una apreciaci\u00f3n de la Biodiversidad<\/strong>: Al interactuar con varios tipos de organismos, los estudiantes comprenden que existe una gran diversidad de vida en la Tierra y que cada uno ha seguido una evoluci\u00f3n \u00fanica.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"46:1-47:0\"><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Introducci\u00f3n a la &#8220;Clasificaci\u00f3n Real&#8221;<\/strong>: Despu\u00e9s de que los estudiantes han hecho su propia clasificaci\u00f3n, la explicaci\u00f3n sobre la &#8220;clasificaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica (filogen\u00e9tica)&#8221; les permite comprender su necesidad y l\u00f3gica no a trav\u00e9s de la &#8220;memorizaci\u00f3n&#8221;, sino del &#8220;convencimiento&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"48:1-48:91\">Al ver las reacciones llenas de vida de los estudiantes, sent\u00ed de todo coraz\u00f3n: &#8220;\u00a1Qu\u00e9 buena compra!&#8221;. Les animo a que tambi\u00e9n incorporen estas figuras en sus clases o en el tiempo de juego con sus hijos para despertar un mont\u00f3n de &#8220;\u00bfPor qu\u00e9?&#8221; y &#8220;\u00a1Lo entend\u00ed!&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2 data-sourcepos=\"48:1-48:91\">El Juego de Adivinar el Animal<\/h2>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"48:1-48:91\">El Profesor S me ense\u00f1\u00f3 sobre este &#8220;Juego de Adivinar el Animal&#8221;. Por ejemplo, cada uno elige una figura de animal del set.
