El misterioso globo de Van de Graaff<\/h3>\n<p>El aparato se llama Generador de Van de Graaff. \u00bfAlguna vez han estado en un laboratorio de ciencias o un museo y han visto a alguien tocar una esfera plateada, haciendo que su pelo se erice de forma espectacular? Pues, \u00a1ese mismo es! Este nombre un poco dif\u00edcil de recordar viene de su inventor, el doctor <a href=\"https:\/\/ja.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/\u30ed\u30d0\u30fc\u30c8\u30fb\u30b8\u30a7\u30df\u30bd\u30f3\u30fb\u30f4\u30a1\u30f3\u30fb\u30c7\u30fb\u30b0\u30e9\u30d5\">Robert Jemison Van de Graaff<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lo m\u00e1s curioso es que este invento no fue creado originalmente como un juguete para clases de ciencia. El doctor Van de Graaff lo desarroll\u00f3 como parte de un &#8220;acelerador de part\u00edculas&#8221;, una m\u00e1quina de alto voltaje dise\u00f1ada para bombardear n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos con part\u00edculas a gran velocidad. Es decir, \u00a1naci\u00f3 como una herramienta de investigaci\u00f3n de vanguardia para explorar el mundo at\u00f3mico! El Asombroso Mecanismo de &#8220;Transporte&#8221; El\u00e9ctrico<\/h3>\n<p>El principio del Van de Graaff se puede resumir en una frase: &#8220;Crear electricidad por fricci\u00f3n, transportarla con una correa y acumularla en la esfera&#8221;. Al abrir la esfera, vimos la correa de goma y dos rodillos, uno arriba y otro abajo. \u00a1El gran secreto del Van de Graaff es que los dos rodillos est\u00e1n hechos de materiales diferentes! Veamos paso a paso el proceso, desde que se enciende el interruptor hasta que se acumula la carga, siguiendo el movimiento de la cinta transportadora.<\/p>\n<h4>\u2460 [Abajo] Fricci\u00f3n para &#8220;Crear&#8221; Electricidad (Generaci\u00f3n de carga negativa)<\/h4>\n<p>Al encenderse la cinta transportadora, la correa de goma roza fuertemente contra el rodillo inferior A (hecho de resina acr\u00edlica). Los materiales tienen una secuencia de propiedades, llamada &#8220;serie triboel\u00e9ctrica&#8221;, que determina si tienden a cargarse positiva o negativamente al ser frotados.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso del caucho y la resina acr\u00edlica, la resina acr\u00edlica tiende a cargarse positivamente y el caucho, negativamente. Esto significa que carga el\u00e9ctrica negativa (electrones) salta de la resina acr\u00edlica a la correa de goma.
