(Qu\u00edmica)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong style=\"color: #339966;\">Soy Ken Kuwako, tu entrenador de ciencia. \u00a1Cada d\u00eda es un experimento!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cuando hablamos en clase de ciencias sobre qu\u00e9 &#8220;conduce o no conduce electricidad&#8221;, lo primero que se le viene a la mente a muchos estudiantes probablemente sean los metales. Pero lo fascinante de este experimento es que permite a los alumnos comprobar, por s\u00ed mismos, que no solo los metales, sino tambi\u00e9n ciertas sustancias disueltas en agua (soluciones acuosas), \u00a1pueden conducir la corriente! Hoy vamos a realizar un experimento para verificar si una soluci\u00f3n acuosa conduce o no electricidad. Usaremos solo sustancias cotidianas para los estudiantes: sal, az\u00facar, etanol, etc. Es una actividad que despierta de forma natural la curiosidad y el esp\u00edritu investigador, con preguntas como: &#8220;\u00bfEh? \u00bfEl az\u00facar conduce la electricidad?&#8221;. La preparaci\u00f3n solo toma unos 40 minutos, y si el equipo est\u00e1 listo de antemano, el experimento puede llevarse a cabo sin problemas durante el tiempo de clase.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Sustancias Utilizadas en el Experimento<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Aqu\u00ed est\u00e1n las soluciones acuosas y s\u00f3lidos que utilizamos esta vez:<\/p>\n<p>Agua destilada (H\u2082O)<\/p>\n<p>Agua salada (Soluci\u00f3n acuosa de cloruro de sodio, NaCl aq)<\/p>\n<p>Agua azucarada (Soluci\u00f3n acuosa de sacarosa, C\u2081\u2082H\u2082\u2082O\u2081\u2081aq)<\/p>\n<p>\u00c1cido clorh\u00eddrico (HCl aq)<\/p>\n<p>Etanol (C\u2082H\u2086O aq)<\/p>\n<p>Soluci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3xido de sodio (NaOH aq)<\/p>\n<p>Sal de mesa s\u00f3lida (NaCl)<\/p>\n<p>Az\u00facar s\u00f3lido (Sacarosa, C\u2081\u2082H\u2082\u2082O\u2081\u2081)<\/p>\n<p>Vamos a comprobar cu\u00e1les de estas sustancias conducen y cu\u00e1les no conducen la corriente el\u00e9ctrica. \u00bfQu\u00e9 resultados obtendremos? As\u00ed es como preparamos todo. Dividimos la clase en 8 grupos y separamos las soluciones en dos lotes (1-4 y 5-8), preparando cuatro muestras id\u00e9nticas de cada una. Esto se debe a que se observa un cambio de color.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>C\u00f3mo se Realiz\u00f3 el Experimento<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Los estudiantes utilizaron placas de pocillos (celda de reacci\u00f3n) para dividir cada soluci\u00f3n acuosa en porciones. Luego, insertaron electrodos de acero inoxidable, aplicaron un voltaje y verificaron si flu\u00eda corriente. El voltaje se ajust\u00f3 a 5V, y utilizamos un amper\u00edmetro anal\u00f3gico, que permite observar incluso los cambios m\u00e1s sutiles. En cuanto a la sal y el az\u00facar en estado s\u00f3lido, simplemente se sumergen los electrodos para intentar medir la corriente.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Fen\u00f3menos Curiosos Observados con el \u00c1cido Clorh\u00eddrico<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Veamos los resultados del experimento con el \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico (HCl aq). \u00bfQu\u00e9 sucede al introducir HCl en un vaso de precipitados y aplicarle corriente? Observamos que fluy\u00f3 una corriente considerable de 1.13 A. \u00a1Es una corriente bastante alta! Adem\u00e1s, notamos una gran cantidad de burbujas emergiendo de uno de los electrodos. Estas burbujas son el producto de la electr\u00f3lisis y es un fen\u00f3meno muy interesante de observar. Si los electrodos se dejan en el \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico por mucho tiempo, se genera gas cloro, que se disuelve en el agua, creando ese olor caracter\u00edstico a cloro. En el caso del \u00e1cido clorh\u00eddrico, se genera cloro, que se disuelve y desprende el olor. Tambi\u00e9n la soluci\u00f3n se convierte en agua clorada y cambia de color. En el caso del agua salada, el electrodo de acero inoxidable se disuelve, lo que tambi\u00e9n provoca un cambio de color en la soluci\u00f3n.
